I want to cherish every moment
Because every second after
It becomes a memory
And I won't ever have it again
I smile at the littlest thing
Even if it's only for a second out of
86400 seconds a day
43200 minutes a month
8760hours a year

Swing in motion
What's the point
Of a swing for two
Without you
I have been waiting every day
At the exact time we used to meet
No matter rain or shine
At the exact time we used to meet
No matter rain or shine
In hope that I can see the swing
In motion again
Yet it only moves when the wind blows
And all that is left
Are the shoes you last wore
Before you left me
On the swing alone

Old days
Just sat down on the ground
And ate our lunch like old days
Even though it hasn't even been months
Since we know each other
Talking about it used to be
The simple days
Where we chased
Now it's our turn
To be chased
By datelines
Waking up to know
It's just another day
Closer to submission
And ate our lunch like old days
Even though it hasn't even been months
Since we know each other
Talking about it used to be
The simple days
Where we chased
Now it's our turn
To be chased
By datelines
Waking up to know
It's just another day
Closer to submission

Behind your smile
Behind your smile
I see more than your eyes
A lonely world
Surrounded by an empty space
A running film
Flashing across your eyes
No one else seems to notice
While I sit afar
Just looking into your eyes
I see more than your eyes
A lonely world
Surrounded by an empty space
A running film
Flashing across your eyes
No one else seems to notice
While I sit afar
Just looking into your eyes

Someone's eyes
I've walked the path
That I didn't go
Hear the voices
Of those I don't know
Now that my eyes have opened so wide
I'm afraid to look into someone's eyes
Knowing that they cried
And that someone has to die
Inside
That I didn't go
Hear the voices
Of those I don't know
Now that my eyes have opened so wide
I'm afraid to look into someone's eyes
Knowing that they cried
And that someone has to die
Inside

Still: Playground
Do see the swing stopping on set
The silencing noise of children's laughter
All the emptying see-saw
With butterflies vanishing wing by wing
Slides covered not with sweat but dried leaves
Ladders no one climb
The rusting of bars without any monkeys
And me
Still sitting on that swing
Waiting for everything to un-still
The silencing noise of children's laughter
All the emptying see-saw
With butterflies vanishing wing by wing
Slides covered not with sweat but dried leaves
Ladders no one climb
The rusting of bars without any monkeys
And me
Still sitting on that swing
Waiting for everything to un-still
