Lamps

I didn't notice the lamps until today
Each of them was hanging by a thread
In loneliness

Swinging as the wind blows
Giving off a little light
But together
Lighting up the whole place

I can't help
But see each of us in this world
As these lamps

Why am I like this?

Again and again
I ask myself

Why are you like that?
Why don't you like what everyone else likes?
Why do you have to make life difficult for yourself?
Why can't you just do what everyone else does?
Why can't you be like every other kid out there?
Why don't you just be what your parents tell you to be?
Why don't you just do what everyone else does for a living?
Why do you have to like something almost no one likes?
Why don't you simply live your life like how everyone else does it?

And most of all,
Why don't you like yourself

A lonely crowd

Loneliness is not when you are alone
But feeling consumed by this world
And filled with emptiness
While being in a crowd

Swing in motion

What's the point
Of a swing for two
Without you

I have been waiting every day
At the exact time we used to meet
No matter rain or shine
In hope that I can see the swing
In motion again

Yet it only moves when the wind blows
And all that is left
Are the shoes you last wore
Before you left me
On the swing alone

The shadow I will miss

I wish I didn't have to know
How your back looks like
When you're leaving

The shadow
That I'll most certainly miss

Dear 2016..

Dear 2016..

Thank you for letting me witness
Time and time again
How much a human can do
For their own gain
Thank you for all the pain
Now I know better who to trust
Thank you for letting me for the near-death-experiences
For now I cherish
Thank you for the scars
Those made me braver
Thank you for the connections I've made
I'm glad I could listen to their stories
Thank you for the blessings
Now that I've so much more to lose
I will fight even harder for them

Most of all
Thank you for the precious souls
That are fighting for the hope of humanity
Even though it might not turn out as great
But I still want to believe
That there is something beautiful at the end
Waiting for us

Lastly
To all those I've lost in the process
You might not know but I fought very hard for ''us''
Now that it might be too late
All I say is that I'm sorry
And I wish you all the best
My only hope is that
Even if we can't mend our broken friendships
We will be able to forgive
And keep the memories we once made together
Close to our hearts

Translucent

In between the spaces
The seemingly clear lines
What left unnoticed
Or perhaps in a denial
The word ''translucent'' exist
With grey areas floating

This marks the end of 2016. I still don't know if I am broken, or breaking through. What about you? How has your year been? I don't know what am I supposed to expect of 2017, but I want to be here, to listen to your stories :))

On days like this

On days like this
I wish I had someone to miss
But all I see
Are raindrops falling

Looking beside me
Only empty
My heart is sinking
Too heavily

I'm just a little lonely
I just want someone to miss

Remains

It's hard to tell from a picture
If it's raining
Just like when someone is breaking inside

It only can be noticed
When all is left are raindrops
On a window

Or the remains of someone's tears

Let alone my tears

Those humans make it sound so easy
As if it takes no effort
It's almost like it comes naturally to me
When most of the times I die a little inside
Screaming a whisper 'I'm drowning'
But it's as if I never did

No one knows of my effort
Let alone my tears
Perhaps it's because I always look fine on the outside
Or it's just that no one looked deep enough

Breathe again

Let me
I just want to breathe again
Set me free
I want to be me
I just want to believe

Translucent tears

You don't see me cry
For I'm already drowning in tears you don't see
Thinking that I'm the strongest
When deep inside
I break a little every time

Running dry

Standing across each other
Looking right into the space
But not saying even a word
Turning our back against each other

We're at that point
Where nothing is left to be said
Not even ''shut up''
Or ''I had enough''
Because words ran dry
And our hearts wrinkled

The beautiful space

Let's travel the world together
See the beauty in the little things
We'll usually miss
The gaps in things that might seem empty
But nothing less to the eyes we use to see
In every step we take
We'll keep learning

Let's talk about the things
That make us not so happy
The dreams we've never got to achieve
Time that stops while moving
Heart that stops while we're still breathing

Let's fill the space in our hearts
And make everything
Less empty

An empty blank

I see
The blank in your eyes
The pale in your lips

I thought I heard
You saying
Please save me
Why don't you all see
Me

Why don't you all even turn to me
I haven't been alright lately

I have been there for everyone
But now that I need someone
Where has everyone gone to

Still: Playground

Do see the swing stopping on set
The silencing noise of children's laughter
All the emptying see-saw
With butterflies vanishing wing by wing

Slides covered not with sweat but dried leaves
Ladders no one climb
The rusting of bars without any monkeys

And me
Still sitting on that swing

Waiting for everything to un-still
